What is the best DPI for making pages to print and for pages to use digitaly like on a CD?
I want to make digital scrapbook pages that can be both printed and used as a slideshow on a CD or DVD. Is 300 a good DPI for this? Will I have to create each page with different DPI depending on what I want to do?
If you want very good quality, use 600 dpi. More expensive on the ink but the text is very crisp.
Don;t forget that at 300 dpi, if the slideshow blows up your prints, they will be fuzzy. Just a hint.
On text, 300 dpi is more than adequate but on photos, its a different ball game.
how do i get my basket business to a good start i also do dvd montages, scrapbooks, wedding programs?

You’ve got several avenues here (that’s great!); let’s tackle them one at a time.
Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

Any scrapbookers out there know where I can get decent 12 x 12 cardstock?
I need cardstock in deep, plain colours suitable for mounting photos. Papermania packs are good, but contain too many pastel shades. I don’t want textured card eg Bazil Basics. Any help much appreciated.
I would try your local craft or stationery store and see if they carry cardstock from Petersen Arne. They have really good quality cardstock, in a ton of colors. I would definitely not go to Michael’s however, they have their own paper and it is crap! lol

How to stop scrapbook pages from bubbling or crinkling?
How to stop scrapbook pages from bubbling or crinkling?
i have a scrapbook i have been making and i noticed the protective pages will almost bubble. i dont understand because all of the pages r dry wen they r put in and there arent any stickers or accessories that puff out? help!
what about using rubber cement?
I had that problem when I tried using Elmer’s school glue. Might just be the adhesive you are using. Or there could be a lot of moisture in the air.
Rubber cement could work, but it will not be a permanent adhesive and will still have enough moisture in it to make the paper bubble up. I would test it first to see how it does.
I use the double sided sticky dots for my projects now, I love them.

any free scrapbook downloads?
i want to make an dvd scrapbook for my boyfriends 16th b-day but i don’t have money to buy those scrapbook programs so im wonderingare they any free ones?
You could easily make a dvd slideshow movie using Movie Maker. You just drop in the pictures and the music you want to use. You can also add text, etc. This isn’t exactly a scrapbook, but it’s easy and free except the cost of the dvd.
Is there some software out there to make a photo scrapbook on CD or DVD?
I want it to be able to put it on a CD or DVD and view it either on a computer or DVD player instead of putting it on paper.
Get Microsoft Photo Story 2 LE or MS Photo Story 3. They will allow you to put it on a cd. If you want to get software that burns it to a DVD I recommend Pinnacle. Phot Story is available free of charge from microsoft at the link below.
Scrapbookers: Is there a thing that rounds the corners of your paper?
I’m not a scrapbooker, so I have no idea. I’m looking for something that will just punch the corners of my paper into a nice round curve. Links would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Go to your local scrapbook or crafts store and ask an associate…they should definitely carry them! It is a punch that just rounds the corners as you mentioned. I have seen them at JoAnn’s, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc!
